 On Wednesday all my Gran’s things are being delivered here, which means that I have to harbour some furniture that will go on sale later, among them a huge sofa and two chairs that I will have to climb over until it can be transported to the auction place.

I haven't read much fic lately, but one that stood out was calanthe's Bad Blood.  The fic is fantastic, it's got werewolf!Draco and Harry and it's post DH. I love the imagery she builds up. I think the author's summary says it best: Draco Malfoy is not the man he used to be. In fact he barely feels human at all.  There is a lot of gore (which I don't mind, but some might be squeamish) and rated NC-17. I did a small piece of fanart for the fic, but it's not that gorey, well,  the presence of a human heart might rate a PG-13 or something.

I have four cats currently, since Imperio is here for a while. Sonorus left with sister H and the cat daddy and for a while only Nox, Lumos and Accio lived with me (and they are going to stay). It's quite well now, but little Imperio (who's not so little anymore) had a slight misunderstanding about where the litterbox was located (I have a new one, with a cover and a small door.) He had never seen such fancy things and went about his business on my morning paper instead. But once I removed the door he understood. 
Now I only wonder how it will be to combine all the kitties with a doggie.... I'm taking care of my mother's terrier Chili for a week in february, when she's in Aachen watching horses. 

Not that I think anyone on my flist have missed this, but I have to mention this exchange, not only because I'm participating, but because the community is awesome and this banner is so cool. Two days left for signups.

This time it's not an exchange, and it's over at IJ (quite understandably...)  When I saw the banner I nearly fell off my chair laughing, and well, I'll place it under a cut since it's not quite worksafe. I'm really tired, since I've been translating practically nonstop since Saturday afternoon.  Jobs are really dropping on my head right now (and I thought the deadline was friday, it was today!) Baaaah. Of course I was a bit lazy last week and didn't start right on. I have to stop waiting for the last second and plan a bit more. 
At one o'clock  today I was so tired I had to sleep for a couple of hours, then up again, chained myself to the computer w/lots of coffee and translated two more Photoshop tutorials. It's very fun and interesting if it isn't to be done in such a hurry.

I managed to get an extended deadline for one article, so I will actually sleep tonight (and don't do any more HP drawing, hear!) and I might even do the dishes tomorrow. Between work and taking care of the three kitties the home situation deteriorates quickly. 

But I do have some HP art that I haven't had the time to put up yet. This is a H/D pic I wasn't satisfied with at all. I did it with watercolour pens at first, but then I scanned it and coloured/tweaked it in Photoshop. I'm still very new to using Photoshop like this and I'm trying to learn as best I can, so this was done without layers and just simply drawing with the mouse, which is why some things are a bit wonky, perspective-wise. I added some background as well, and that was major fun.

Kitten update: I have only four cats at home right now, since Imperio is living with choklid and daddy Bogge moved with sister H. Sonorus will follow to sister H in a while, and I’m keeping Nox, Lumos and Accio. As TB said, "even in normal families people have four cats". That’s right; I’m the only human in the apartment right now. The kitchen is completely empty of furniture, since I’m waiting for a dining room set that belonged to my grandmother. And I'm hopefully going to get the walls painted before it arrives.

Notes: The first one is by far the fluffiest piece I’ve done, ever, in drawing or writing. I was a bit inspired by the hp_fringeartDecember challenge “Childhood”, but it was too late to participate. It’s simply Harry and a baby, asleep on a couch, at home.

I haven’t been able to write or rec or do anything remotely HP in quite a while. Neither Pingviini nor I have had the time for the HD Chocolate Frog Calendar this year, even though we wanted to, so I decided to do some small HP things before Christmas. I will try to publish something each day. Me and my inspiration/muse artsyandfartsy had a fun night a while ago when we started drawing. And it resulted in assorted pieces of fanart. Here are some of the results. I hope to publish some of it each day before Christmas. 

Here is the first small piece of HP doodles I did. Please don’t be offended by my lack of drawing technique, the idea is the main thing, and just to have some fun.

It’s been another one of those months. Have just come back from a trip to the south of Sweden where I've been taking care of my gran’s belongings as well as attending her funeral. She passed away one month after dad. The morning she died, I woke up around six and cried for two hours straight, didn’t know why, I didn’t even know it then. I tear up quite easy but I rarely cry like that. When my cousin called later and told me, it made sense though.

I hope it's done with, over and enough for a while. No more deaths now. choklid and I went to gran's appartment and worked around the clock for four days clearing out cupboards and drawers, sorting things and packing away stuff, only taking a break for attending the funeral.

With everything that has happened the world seems really strange now and my head is still spinning from it all. I take it one day at a time, but it’s hard not to be dragged down. Still, the five little kitties make up for a lot. They are wonderful and cute and I can’t really imagine being without them. Living with five cats might be a little over the top, so some of them are going to my two sisters, which ones are undecided yet. Well, right now it’s actually six cats, since sister H and the proud cat daddy Bogge still lives with me. A lot of food is getting consumed and a lot of cat litter bags are getting toted from the shop, but it’s a joy to see them play and wake up surrounded by little purring bodies somersaulting around in the bed. Okay, when they all get the cat frenzy in the middle of the night and chasing each other at full speed and pushing things over, it’s not all joy, but they are so cute, so I don’t mind sweeping up the shards and dirt from a flower pot or two.

I have another confession to make. I’ve been traipsing around in another fandom. Once or twice I might have said that I didn’t get the manga/anime craze that has caught so many on my flist. *humble blush* Well, I did too. Get it, that is.

Well, watching 150 episodes of the Bleach anime definitely did something to my brain. Dazed and confused it, probably, hooked it good, definitely. So now my head is filled with adorable men with long hair (kink of mine), lots of sword fighting in flowing skirts (sorry, very wide pants) and a lot of subtext. And I mean a LOT. Well, sometimes I think my mind might be able to find subtext on the label of a tin can… I would really like to be able to understand Japanese, since the subtitling is quite bad sometimes (you don’t need to know the spoken language to see that the subtitling is lacking... after umpteen hours of watching I recognise a few names and words).

I’ve been looking for fic too… but what I’ve found so far is mostly making me alternately giggle and sigh. Ff.net isn’t the greatest source for goodfic around and I’m not that patient anymore.

But my newfound fancraze doesn’t mean that I have forgotten HP. At least I’ve kept up with one or two fics. I've also made some fanart. It will be posted separately.

My 5 little cuties are 6 now, since papa Bogge (and sister H)  has moved in again.  It's very lively here sometimes. But it's awfully nice to wake up to five kittens  wrestling each other in your bed. somersaulting over your legs and sometimes playing with your hair. They are a joy to be around and I don't know how I would have done without them. I might be a crazy cat lady with 35 cats yet. Or not.
